“Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

-Harold Whitman

Periods of struggle are often the most difficult times to try something new, or to create a new connection.  I encourage you to call.

The success of therapy requires that we are a good match to work together.  Our first session will give you an opportunity to get a sense of me and how I work, while I begin to learn more about you and begin to assess what would be most helpful for you.

After we meet together for a number of sessions, I will give my initial recommendations for how our work together might proceed.  We will come up with a plan and make adjustments as we go along.  The duration of your treatment and the frequency of your sessions will depend on the nature of your concerns, your level of distress, your preferences, and your financial needs.  Therapy sessions are usually scheduled for one to three times a week.

The duration of therapy is ultimately up to you.  Some people come to therapy to work on specific issues and find a small number of sessions to be sufficient.  Others wish to work on deeper or longer standing issues and our time together may unfold over months or years.
